# Simon King

VP of Product

Simon is VP of Product at Abridge. Previously, he was a Design Director at IDEO, where he led human-centered innovation across a diverse range of industries. He holds a MDes in Interaction Design from Carnegie Mellon University and advocates for cross-disciplinary skillsets in his book [_Understanding Industrial Design: Principles for UX and Interaction Design_](https://amzn.to/3f8SDAU), published on O’Reilly. Outside of Abridge you’ll find him riding [mopeds](https://www.mopedarmy.com/), obsessing about [northern islands](https://lookingnorth.blog/), and hiking in the woods.
